The Department has documented the existence of various chemotypes of several Medicinal plants in the Western Ghats region.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"has-ast-global-color-0-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size: 28px; text-align: justify;\">\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"has-ast-global-color-8-color has-text-color has-medium-font-size\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Natural Product Chemistry Department has identified extract(s), fraction(s) as well as isolated pure compound(s) with potent anti-hyperglycaemic activity through pre-clinical studies.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"has-ast-global-color-0-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size: 28px; text-align: justify;\">\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"has-ast-global-color-0-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size: 28px; text-align: justify;\"><strong><em>Academics\/Studentship:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"has-ast-global-color-0-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size: 28px; text-align: justify;\">\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"has-ast-global-color-8-color has-text-color has-medium-font-size\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Department welcomes Post-Doctoral and PhD students and is recognized for guideship by KAHER (KLE Deemed University), Belagavi.
