ICMR-NITM, Belagavi established state of art COVID-19 RT-PCR testing laboratory in collaboration with District administration, Karnataka Government and serving the community in the need of the hour since April 2020. Till now, we have tested more than 3.7 lac samples. Scientists have conducted research projects related to herbal solutions for COVID-19 and genome sequencing. Institute has published the articles in various journals and also filed patent for “Phytopharmaceutical formulation inhibiting SARS-Cov-2 for treatment/management of Covid-19”.
